In response to coronavirus (COVID-19) and shortage of disinfectant products, ElaSkin is producing antiseptic hand sanitizer
Since this March, Aleo BME Inc. has remained fully committed to supporting our customers' and community's critical needs during the evolving COVID-19 outbreak. While we have been following CDC and State Health Department's guidelines to ensure the safety of our employees, our customers and our community, as a small business focusing on commercializing biomaterials in medical fields, we leveraged our expertise on regulation and medical device manufacturing to help address the urgent needs of disinfectant products from our community during the coronavirus (COVID-19) breakout.
In response to the significant shortage of hygiene products during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued special guidance on alcohol-based hand sanitizer products. The Aleo BME team has managed to secure the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) grade ingredients and quickly established a cGMP compliant hand sanitizer production line according to the FDA guidance.
Since then, the team has diligently produced 75% Antiseptic Sprayable Hand Sanitizer Solution, and has served over 20,000 units of sanitizer to the local communities. All hand sanitizer products are made in our cGMP facility located in State College, PA.
We urge you to stay safe and thank you for your continued trust in ElaSkin and Aleo BME, Inc.
